Am I Willing to Travel??

Oct 26
2 min read
@jessicabuilds asks, am I willing to travel for the gospel?

Today is the day! Would you believe me if I told you my RealID, California issued driver's license came on the Saturday before our flights this morning? What a miracle! Seriously, the turnaround time from me getting to the DMV to the ID card arriving in the mail was less than two weeks. Color me impressed.

I can't help but ask the Father, what does this mean? Now that I can travel domestically without issue... it's like when you get your Passport for the first time and the whole globe opens up to you. You could travel to Spain, Africa, Canada, even Antarctica! Now, I know I technically could travel domestically by paying for the TSA ID temporary travel card, but having this Government issued piece of plastic in my hand at 49 years old (and recently answering the 'would you be willing to travel?' question on the open casting form I filled out last week) has left me asking myself the question would you be willing to travel?

WOULD I BE WILLING TO TRAVEL...

Would I leave the comfort of my home for a business? A job? The gospel? Obviously my answer to the last question is YES! How easy is it for us all to say "YES LORD, I would travel for You! Anywhere You go I want to be!!" What if however, the Lord was in your job. What if the Lord was in your business? What if that thing you are feeling nudged to do WAS by way of the Lord's inspiration and calling?

Proverbs 14:3 says this, "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."

As believers, scripture tells us ALL HARD WORK brings a profit. Doing the dishes, cleaning the house, jumping on a jet plane for your job... it all profits you and the Kingdom. The Lord is in our "hard work", hard doesn't mean painful, difficult, or exhausting. HARD means supportive, substansial, meaningful. When a believer does something, when a believer does ANYTHING it MATTERS.

A righteous man or woman of God doesn't just make a difference on this earth when they do something - they ARE the difference on this earth!

Holy Spirit-

Yes, I am willing to travel. I am also willing to pick up after my kids, wipe the noses, clean the toilets. I WANT to work hard and make an impact on this earth. I have heard it preached "Make me a mark that cannot be easily erased." Father God this is what I desire for today - to be an impact maker. To have a long life which is meaningful, what the world calls 'hard" You call IMPACTFUL. Thank you for creating in me the ability to make an IMPACT. In business, in my family, in my life!

In Jesus' name I pray - AMEN!

On the agenda today:

  • Finish packing up office supplies

  • Get to the airport

  • Take the kids on their first airplane!

  • Pray, work, laugh, love, enjoy... repeat!
