Proof of Identity... Who Am I, Really?

The picture you see was me... like 30 pounds ago. It's still me, just in thicker skin. I know all my scars, moles, and freckles. Those things don't change.
I am in the process of finally getting my STAR ID, REAL ID (whatever your state calls it) and I cannot believe how much is required to PROVE my identity. In addition to my social security, birth certificate (from 50 years ago!), and two forms of documentation... I also needed to produce my marriage certificate! LET ME JUST SAY, I AM SO GLAD I HAVE IT.
Thanks to my name change 30 years ago - I STILL need to prove who I was legally born as in order to move forward in the obtaining of a much needed document to travel domestically. Don't get me wrong, I am glad to live in a country that boasts of its safety and strength in its ability to discern potential threat... it is just frustrating that I need to go through so much when I already have a state issued driver's license.
The thing I think which is causing me the most stress is that the issue has thrown off my routine. I cannot help but continuously think... I should be doing XYZ right now - but instead I am doing THIS. I should be...
So what then is my true identity? Is it who I was born as or is it my routine? Or maybe is it my beliefs? What is your identity? Are you a mom, wife, sister, Christian, lover, friend, Atheist? WHO ARE YOU REALLY - what is your REALID? The Government... YOUR Government wants to know!
So this morning, instead of slowly sipping my morning coffee while reading my book - then following up with a nice little 15 minute journaling session - I was frantically running around the house looking for certified proof of residence documents, taking photos, uploading them to the certified site and praying I could find my passport which has at-this-moment-in-time gone AWOL.
I SHOULD BE....
Perhaps the lesson here is that I shouldn't be thinking of all the other things I should be doing, because those stem from the thought of another person I think I should be. "I should be more organized, I should be more disciplined, I should be better." I once heard a preacher say, "When you are trying to figure out who you are, or what your job description is, know this - the Bible says, 'The just shall live by faith' - your JOB is to live by faith. THAT is your job description. A person who lives by faith."
My identity... my TRUE identity - is to live by faith. In my living by faith, I was inspired to travel. Not far, not globally or on some grand expedition - I was inspired to literally fly to the next state. What is required? A REALID. Do I have one? NO. By faith however, I will get one.
Holy Spirit -
Thank you for working out all the details for me in order for me to travel. Thank you for helping me to see where I need to grow and the sheer ridiculousness of my endless junk drawers, and overflowing unnecessary papers. Thank you for helping me locate the papers I actually need to take with me to PROVE myself to the state of California. Thank you for making me a resident in this great state. The state I was born in, the state I call my home. I believe all things work together for my good and that this work I am putting in will open the door for more travel in the future. I love you, and I am thankful for you clearing the way for me...!
