Good morning friends!

Well, yesterday went as well as could be expected. I was able to sew some key chains (they will have motivational phrases on them), took Ness to the dentist where they proceeded to actually PULL out her baby molar. Thankfully, we have a great pediatric dentist with all the bells and whistles - the TV, headphones, squishies for squeezing, etc. It was expensive (not having dental insurance after all these years can leave quite the mark), but they allowed us to break up the payments, which is wonderful, and they threw in a complimentary dental X-ray as they understand our situation. The dentist herself was one of 7 kids (the baby) and also a girl! It was sweet to hear her relate to Nessy as they are both "Lucky Sevens!"

I have started using a new keyboard for my laptop and it is one of those ones that resembles a typewriter keyboard, while it is extremely aesthetically pleasing, it is taking some getting used to. Speaking of taking time to get used to things, in the past I have always addressed my journals (the ones I did on paper) to The Holy Spirit. (Is the "The" capitalized?) Frankly, I always feel as if when I am thinking in my own voice in my head that I am speaking to Holy Spirit so it is odd to me to be addressing anything to someone else. My journals would look something like this:

Good morning Holy Spirit!

Thank you for this day. Thank you for waking me up this morning and giving me the strength to work out. Even though I only did a 20-minute Peloton class this morning (shout out to Bradley Rose - and yes, I would shout out someone to Holy Spirit - not just for this blog - LOL), while I didn't do my regular workout routine, you were able to show me creatively how I can use my workout space more efficiently and begin doing something new - and I am so grateful. Today especially, I need you to fill me up in the area of my food choices. The other day, you showed me how I should work my diet, and I am praying for strength and the ability to stick to it. Lead me away from temptation, HS, walk with me, by me, in me, around me, above me, and beneath me. I NEED you to get through the day, curb my tongue, and work in the areas I am deficient. You are the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. I love you!

-Jessicah

I sign all my journal entries to HS with an "H" at the end of my name because earlier this year the Lord began calling me "Jessicah" in our prayer time. When I did the research, I was inspired by how both Abram and Sarai in the Bible went through an identity change as the Lord added that one simple "H" or in Hebrew 'hei' which represents a breath or a sigh of life—the same breath God breathed into creation and into humanity. Jewish and biblical interpreters view it as God sharing His procreative, life-giving power with an elderly, barren couple (Abraham and Sarah) so they could bear a child. Addressing myself as Jessicah has helped me to see myself as something new. I prayed about if I should go through and change my name officially on all my documents, but He encouraged me that it wasn't necessary. I was Jessicah to Him long before the advent of Government documents (so much so my last name is Heilman so I literally am Jessica H) Isn't it cool how the Lord works?

My agenda for today-

As my time is up on the clock and I have a million (SO DRAMATIC) things to do today... here is my agenda;

  • Sew a bunch of motivational keychains and think of a witty name for them.

  • Go to the park with Madeline and take pictures product.

  • Advertise on social media our 40% off FLASH SALE (it is the 15th)

  • Be back in time for games and movies with Sam (Madeline's bf)

  • Costco for pizza, Target for cat food.

  • Finish Jenny's book.

  • Host women's Bible Study (clean house) at 6:30pm YAY

  • Give the dogs their flea medicine

  • Stay on target by preparing in advance my meals for the day

  • Arrange travel to see mom (find passport!)

  • Edit and publish this post! Haha

Well friends, I appreciate you coming along with me today and these 15 minutes, which ended up being around 35. I am praying that you have a blessed day today and that the Holy Spirit (Hmm, I guess it isn't capitalized) keeps you and encourages you all throughout the day. You are an amazing human being and are becoming more and more the person you have always needed to be! Sometimes it may feel like we are falling - but with Him at the helm, we are always falling forward!

"Yea, though I walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

Sincerely in Christ,

Jessica (aka Jessicah!)
